Monochrome shoeboots

Shoeboots continued a pace as an important footwear shape for next season, and a monochrome colourway was the most popular incarnation. The danger of plumping for such an uncomplicated trend does raise the issue of pieces looking pedestrian, so in a bid to create newness and interest, designers added decorative buckles, bows, brogue detailing and contrasting lipstick red soles. Heel heights were lofty and fabrics included suede and velvet.
