Oui Moments

The collection

Oui Moments consists of statement, impact pieces drawn together in a coherent collection, with a distinctive printed handwriting throughout. Dresses are the standout category with details and embellishments appearing on trims and belts, with interesting contrast linings appearing throughout. Knitwear is kept light, but colours are vivid with rich rubies and bright fuchsias. Looks are deconstructed, loose and fluid. The autumn 09 collection epitomises sophisticated glamour with attention to detail, such as leopard print panels woven into the lining of a knitted top.

“We’re not going for basics; impact styling and the wow factor are key. We have lots of knitted dresses; we have more dresses in the collection now than we’ve ever had. Fabrics are luxurious and silk is very important; it’s a new development for us. The trend is for people to look around a bit more, buyers are more cautious, but if the product is right for the market, at the right price with that luxury factor, they will buy. Style is about personalising the impact, a buyer will create their own handwriting with the pieces they choose, and the product is king. Retailers should be careful not to over-buy though; they should buy with the square footage and capacity of projected turnover in mind.”
