Peter Werth goes back to 1975

Menswear brand Peter Werth has launched an autumn 13 range of 100% superfine merino wool pieces called the 1975 Knitwear Collection.

Made in Italy, the range comprises four styles - a V-neck jumper, a seven-button cardigan, a V-neck tank top and a long-sleeved polo shirt.

“Peter Werth originally specialised in the production of men’s long-sleeved knitted polo shirts, made by factories in Leicester and Nottingham,” says managing director Peter Lynes. “[The range] is about staying true to the brand’s original DNA, not about revisiting our archive for the sake of it.”

Colours include mustard, grey, navy and burgundy, with twin-striped options referencing the era’s terrace casuals look.
