Last year’s favourite – yellow – has been replaced by pink this season, which has set the tone for a much brighter colour palette. Reserved largely for lingerie collections, pink was picked up by most brands. Coral pink was the definitive favourite across most trend-led brands, while younger collections opted for hot and lobster pink shades. Labels targeting an older customer toned it down by using pink as an accent colour, mixing it up with bows and floral embroideries. Although colour blocking was widespread, brands spruced up their collections with contrasting lace or prints borders.
