Brands Preview - Get off to a great start

To kick off your buying, here are some of the labels we’re tipping to impress for autumn 12.

Custo Barcelona STAND: P36-Q29

Making its Pure London debut, Custo Barcelona has focused on combining directional and commercial looks for autumn 12. Hand-printed silks and textured knits and jerseys are key, while digital prints and hand-embroidered patterns and embellishments add interest. Becksondergaard STAND: J45

Another brand showing here for the first time is Danish accessories label Becksöndergaard. Its autumn 12 collection is split into three themes. The first, inspired by US film maker David Lynch, has a dark palette, while PoeTree offers animal prints, florals and tree illustrations. Lastly, Nepal is made up of ethnic graphics and sketchy prints. Wool, silk, cashmere mix and cotton are all used across the scarf range. Prices: £30 to £150  Contact: 07930 539700

Avoca Anthology STAND: Q30

Colour and texture catch the eye in Avoca Anthology’s autumn 12 collection, particularly the cosy knits in vibrant colours and coats scattered with sequins. Key pieces include wrap dresses featuring prints of fans and  dancers or geometric designs, layered under coats and gilets, which can  be accessorised with fur neckpieces. Sticky Fingers STAND: R48-R47

Colour blocking on Sticky Fingers’ elegant shift dresses and tunics sits alongside cashmere coats, chunky knitted cardigans and tweed, which are layered for a cosy effect. The colours are muted, with grey and camel key, and silhouettes are long and loose.
