Autumn 10

Soo Lee

Short and floaty evening dresses are the mainstay of Soo Lee, and the autumn 10 collection features ruched shoulder details, draped layers and sparkly fabrics. There is also an emphasis on embellishment on necklines and shoulders. This extends to long jersey tops, which come in muted greys and maroons, with detachable, military-inspired shoulder details.

Prices: £14 to £55

Ruby Rocks

Ruby Rocks uses hand batik and tie-dye prints on jumpsuits and maxi dresses in soft, jersey cotton, often over-printed with drawn graphics of feathers and peace signs, giving a casual, hippy feel. Batik ditsy prints also run across short, cotton puffball dresses, suitable for daywear. An accessories range includes the brand’s signature graphics on crystal rings.

Ci Ci

Girly chiffon dresses in single colours are the signature look at Ci Ci. Detailing comes as ruffles and sculptural pleats, rather than embellishment, and colours are generally quite muted - although there is the occasional splash of royal blue for autumn 10. The few prints on offer are either subtle ditsy designs or one-coloured, for example grey on grey.

Tin Tin London

A fun, flirty 1950s vibe informs Tin Tin London’s collection, which features ditsy-print fabrics sourced from France. Dresses are generally short, fitted, floral and prom-style - think Lily Allen - but there is the occasional longer, ruched piece. The collection also includes a selection of ditsy-print macs and kitsch, embellished T-shirts.

Prices: £7 to £14

It’s all about kooky graphics at G-Heaven for autumn 10, which are repeated across jumpsuits and maxi dresses, or irregularly printed over short A-line shift dresses, produced in felt-effect fabrics. The jumpsuits in particular are a major feature of the collection and include a kitsch owl design, as well as easier-to-wear feather prints.

Pink Soda

After a few seasons spent flirting with jersey styles, Pink Soda has gone back to its roots for autumn 10 and is firmly embracing the heavy embellishment that was the original signature look. Silk dresses are short and beaded, and come in soft blush tones as well as greys and blacks. Those jersey tops that remain are also heavily decorated.
