Romeo falls for Joyce’s charms

Directional luxury retailer Joyce, which has stores in the Far East, Paris and Milan, has persuaded influential designer Romeo Gigli to come back to create an exclusive autumn 12 collection after he ducked out of the industry in 2004.

Called Joyce by Romeo Gigli, the collection spans both menswear and womenswear and bears all the hallmarks of Gigli: graceful and flattering soft lines in mohair, silk, brocade and velvet for the women, exhibiting Gigli’s signature asymmetric necklines; and punchy patterns in rust, teal and purple for men (pictured), where the outerwear and jackets are the stars. Also featuring in a Venice pop-up from August 28, the project is a real coup and provides a strong point of difference for Joyce.
