Design The main inspiration while designing the Escada mainline collection was a resort feeling taken from the Italian and French Riviera. Pale canary yellow, sky blues and rose tones combine with navy and set the tone. For Escada Sport the heritage of the brand was explored to create conversational prints and novelty for all product groups. Escada mainline prints were then developed from the Mediterranean feeling - taken from the waves in the ocean or the tiles and patterns of the famous resorts. This is all relevant for the Escada customer as it has a new fresh feeling. Our customer always searches for ultra-femininity and also loves the history behind the brand. For a key item the soft ballerina skirt on dresses and skirts will be popular as it reinstates the new feminine attitude.
Colours Escada demonstrates canary yellow, soft rose, sky blues, navy and a touch of black for cocktail and evening were most important. Escada Sport shows navy, black and white graphics in contrast with vanilla, rose, and sage green. Key prints are feminine either floral by Escada Sport or romantic and sexy by Escada mainline.
Fabrics Jacquards and quilted optics give texture and a luxury aspect, of course supple leathers and embroideries also add to this idea. But very important is jersey in both collections.
Silhouttes Key silhouettes derive around the new full skirt, therefore longer coats or shorter jackets are relevant to pair with this new volume. The key item is a silk and cotton blend jacquard in navy and white as coat over a dress with the new voluminous skirt releasing from inverted darts.
Prices Our price structure was adjusted three years ago to become more competitive. This has been very well received by all wholesale clients as Escada is now more relevant and competitive in all markets of a high-level luxury brand. So we are staying consistent in our pricing.
