Design We have four themes running through the spring 14 collection. First, a sports luxe collection with a technical influence. Also, constructed workwear with a retro influence, paisley and floral patterns and vintage washes. Urban sportswear with a tropical twist explores the use of colour and tropical prints. Summer casual has a jungle-inspired aesthetic. This season in-house has been a little more daring and we anticipate the summer casual trend to be quite popular for Voi. It is a little out of what we usually produce so we are hoping it will add a new dimension to the brand and open up our customer base a little more.
Colours Major sporting events inspire strong, saturated colours which collide with sportswear in a combination of casual brights. Then, taking inspiration from Brazil, prints explore summer sunsets and bold graphics, influencing an energetic summer collection.
Fabrics Contrasting a mixture of fabric is generally received well by the Voi consumer. This season we’ve put a strong focus on this design feature using fabric such as nylon, chambray and suede. With the denims in particular we’ve looked at a variety of bleach, mid-cast, blue, raw coated, grey, light and dark.
Silhouettes The focus on the denim this season is quite a key silhouette for us, and imagine will remain, due to us being a denim brand. This season we’ve extended our denim fits to carrot, cuffed, relaxed tapered skinny, slim and in particular for this season we now have skinny stretch denims.
Prices Prices haven’t altered too much for spring.
