Bread & Butter
For Camel Active’s menswear range, military cottons feature heavily, along with coarse-grain canvas and leathers on biker jackets and duffle coat collars. New shapes include more generously cut T-shirts and shorter field jackets. Prints are strong, with camo for blazers and florals on shorts and swimming trunks. Denim shirts come with cut-away collars, and across the board denim has more stretch. Key colours include natural tones such as ecru and sand, highlighted with red, green, coral and yellow.
In womenswear, stripping down is the motto for spring 15, leading to a clean, low-key look. As with the men’s offer, military cottons feature, as do nylon and mesh fabrics on fresh-looking bomber jackets. Floral and camo prints are carried across from the men’s range - particularly on jackets, which include trench coats, biker and field shapes. Blocking is a central trend, either though combining different fabrics such as cottons and leather or different dyes and washes.
Standout colours are beige, sand, olive and pine green. Wholesale prices start at £8 for T-shirts, rising to £140 for outerwear.
