Three-dimensional surface effects continued to be a key focus. Quilted, pleated, retracted and blistered structures became more exaggerated in scale, often combining matt and shine yarns as performance structures moved closer to fashion fabrics. Lightweight shirting and dress weights had fine plissé and seersucker effects, forming micro dimensional textures.
