Simone Rocha, Richard Nicoll, Christopher Kane (pictured) and Topshop Unique are all favourites of mine but I’m really looking forward to seeing how Haizhen Wang has progressed since his Fashion Fringe win last season. Sitting under the glass-canopied roof of Burberry’s Kensington Gardens show space is always a highlight too.
For autumn 13 I’m looking for classic ready-to-wear and accessories reworked through new materials, detailing and shapes. I want to see fun parkas lined with cosy furs, long padded coats, and wool and leather detailing. I’m looking forward to the classic Acne pistol boot (pictured) lined with super-luxe shearling.
London is such a hotbed of talent; we’re not afraid to own fashion and embrace our talent for generating trends. Designers such as Jonathan Saunders, Henry Holland (pictured) and Jasper Conran have all been delivering exciting collections.
I love the buzz London Fashion Week creates and the magical glow that surrounds Somerset House (pictured), with fashionistas turning up the styling to the max. I’m particularly looking forward to Moschino Cheap & Chic’s show at The Savoy and it’s always exciting to see the Newgen designers showcasing their talents.
