Top stores to visit are Storm, Wood Wood and the new Acne store. The Illum department store is a little bland, but the staff are fantastic; London department store staff could learn a lot from them. If you can get tickets for Henrik Vibskov (pictured) it’s usually one of the best runway shows of the year.

Prepare, analyse your figures, know what you want. There are so many fab but similar collections, it pays to do your research. Expect a costly trip – but it’s well worth it for the collections and fashion inspiration. Prepare for the glamour of the Copenhagen fashionistas (pictured) – everyone looks effortlessly stunning!

A few of my favourite indies are Storm, Holly Golightly and YouHeShe, which sells Stine Goya (pictured). I also check out streetwear brands Wood Wood and Norse Projects. And Oliver Gustav is a serene haven of beautiful antiques and interiors objects.

Ellie Ward

Head to the meatpacking district and eat at Paté Paté or Mother. Great food and even better for watching what the cool Danes are wearing. Visit Storm (pictured), a boutique with the best edit of Céline, Ann Demeulemeester and hard-to-find labels. Finally, visit trainer store Naked. It has the rarest New Balance colourways.
