What to Buy: The Shoot, Spring 17

Get a first look at the new season’s key menswear trends and must-buys in Drapers’ exclusive photoshoot.

Step into the Light

Styling by Graeme Moran, Photography by Damien Fry

Summer seasons conjure up thoughts of sunny skies and sandy beaches. Whatever the weather, it seems dreams of balmier climes have inspired spring __ collections. Many focus on tonal combinations of warm and wearable neutrals, such as sun-drenched sands, creams and caramels, which look freshest when merchandised together.

Linen and other lightweight summery fabrics lend a relaxed air to wardrobe staples and classic tailoring for the warmer months. The addition of suede helps to further blur the line between smart and casual dressing.

Trans-seasonal pieces, such as light, unlined coats and spring-appropriate knits will also keep shoppers spending, come rain or shine.
