Womenswear tradeshow Pure kicked off today (Sunday August 2), with a number of new brands and existing names offering fresh ideas.
Australian brand Lumiere made its UK debut at Pure this season. A sub-brand of formal wear label Bariano, the 50-piece collection boasts strong metallic trims and structured panelling for spring 14. Neon jacquard mini dresses appear alongside sheer panelled boxy tops and silk digital printed jackets. Wholesale prices range for £15 for tops to £40 for embellished maxi dresses.

New to the UK and hailing from sunny Spain, the spring 14 collection from Compañia Fantastica incorporates strong colours and fun tropical prints. Bright pinks and yellows are key across unstructured silk dresses (£15), while motifs including ducks, pineapples and lobsters add quirky humour to loose separates. Wholesale prices range from £10 for a jersey sweatshirt to £26.74 for a cotton jacquard swing coat.

Mainstream womenswear brand Pomodoro had responded to consumer demand with the injection of new casual pieces for spring 14. The capsule line, which sits within the mainline collection rather than as a standalone sub brand, boasts 35 pieces including chunky cable knits and relaxed floral tunics. Nautical themes are strong throughout the entire range, with navy blue and raspberry key to the colour palette.
Wholesale prices start at £12 for a cotton T-shirt to £34 for a dress.

Making its UK launch at Pure this season is US brand Lilla P. The business has 1,000 boutiques in North America and is looking to make a splash here with a range of Peruvian cotton jersey, knitwear and woven tops, dresses and a smattering of trousers. A hero piece within the autumn collection included a printed dress, which wholesales for £56, with the range starting at £14 for basic t-shirts, which are designed to sit alongside premium jeans.

Italian brand Silvian Heach is launching into the UK for spring 14, with one of the stand out collections of the show. The range, which includes over 1000 pieces from formal and casualwear, footwear, accessories and jewellery. The top trend on offer was a global traveller look, with embroidered and cross stitch details covering vests, blouses and loose cotton shirts in a muted pastel palette. Wholesale prices range from £3.50 for a cotton vest to £43 for a 100% polyester maxi dress.
