Raf Simons reportedly set to join YSL

Raf Simons, creative director of Jil Sander, is set to take over at the helm at Yves Saint Laurent, according to reports.

Suzy Menkes, fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune, said that Simons is to become creative director of the luxury label. She did not specify when Simons was set to join.

Simons would replace Stefano Pilati, whose future at the label has been subject to speculation in the past. The news is yet to be confirmed by either Yves Saint Lauren or Raf Simons.

Simons showcased his spring 12 collection for Jil Sander at Milan Fashion Week over the weekend, with a selection of paisley prints, pencil skirts and all white dresses.
