Ralph Lauren

The Look:
Lauren finished off New York Fashion Week with a collection which suggested it might be how the designer’s heaven would look – acres of liquid satin, touchable velvet and vintage-inspired embroidery appeared in pastel shades of ivory, rose, blush pink and antique gold.

Key Pieces:
Black was notably absent after the first 30 seconds, taken over by fur lined tweed and dove grey fluffy shearling, ultra feminine slashed fairy skirts in floaty chiffon and slinky wrapped satin evening gowns. Even the more masculine pieces, such as the suits, were rendered in flowing lilac silk with ballooning sleeves or worn over candy coloured Fair Isle knits.
