Moda puts in a solid performance


Generally agree with the above in the sense it was more quality than quantity, but isn't that always the case these days? MODA will never be a extremely well attended show. This is for various reasons, but it always lacks a cutting edge and is in the wrong location. In some ways, it just has to accept what it is. Any particular trade show is never quite as important as it thinks it is. Organisers don't like to admit it, but it isn't necessary to go to them - at least on a seasonal basis. They haven't got a raison d'être, especially these days. If you're a retailer who isn't in the market for anything new, savvy to what is going on and are very happy with the brands you stock, then why waste time and money to go? Showroom visits are much more viable. Unless you have one big inclusive show - in London - which is flowing with beer, women and other various forms of entertainment, then that might be worth going to...
