This makes me so mad! They make a sweeping statement like this about UK manufacturers not being ethical, and the next thing you know it ends up with The Times reporting that 'the vast majority' of UK garment manufacturers are unethical: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/british-factory-standards-worse-than-asia-6txnv7bl8 It doesn't help anyone, and I would have thought better of The Times than to make such a statement without proper data to back it up. Everyone in the industry knows that the reason that most of the factories that New Look were working with were unethical was because they wanted to make everything as cheaply as they possibly could. These unethical manufacturers that they speak of wouldn't exist in the first place if retailers like New Look didn't try and squeeze every last penny out of them. Rant over....
