M&S focuses on fit

Wow - amazing. I'd work for a big M&S garment supplier in the 80/90ties (walking up and down the Baker Street aisles ) and continuity of a fit for jackets and trousers was one of the main points. There have been fashion adjustment made (narrower shoulder, wider flair, peak lapels etc.) but the person who bought a wool jackets and in summer a linen could be sure it would fit. That did got lost later. A woman who's replacing a black pair of trousers has now to try on and on... In the world of mail ordering continuity is a must. M&S has also recognized this now. Fantastic - clever people.
