December footfall hit by early Black Friday

Footfall will continue to fall year on year - nothing anyone can do about that. It's called the Internet. The 19.2% figure of sales being Internet based is a work of fiction that Hans Christian Andersen would be most proud. It is far, far higher. If there was no Black Friday, December would be stronger. It's common sense. You can't have it both ways as there is only so much money to go round. If retailers generally stopped discounting they would all be better off. Retail knows what to do, will it do it`?
