Christmas sales slumped after shoppers 'pull forward' purchases

It is blatantly obvious that by having Black Friday, there will be less sales in December than there would have been if Black Friday had not been applied. Retail - in general - deserves little sympathy, as its problems and issues are almost exclusively self inflicted, with Black Friday being a classic example in short sighted retail practices. There are success stories out there, but are becomingly increasingly few and far between. Will things get better? Don't bet on it.
