A truly differentiated and impressive offer let down by old-season stock and blaring music.
Gorgeous draped dresses, stylish outerwear and the softest, chunkiest knits make up a standout collection. A pink python print is the trademark for the season, used across dresses and blouses, while an impressive, all-over sequined shift dress lifts the taupe palette. A soft, chunky, wool and alpaca mix duffle cardigan is lovely, while outerwear ranges from smart, belted wool coats to cool waxed trench coats. But AllSaints continues to sell old-season stock – the acid rust brogue dress from last autumn is still here.
Get me out of here. All Saints goes a bit too far in translating its grunge aesthetic to its store environment. Music pumps out inside the store so loudly, it’s all you can do not to raise your hands to your ears. It’s a shame, as this is a great-looking store, well-merchandised, with staff who offer to help. Just turn it down, please.
Dresses start at £165, which is great value given the design detail and fabrication, including a silk ruched dress featuring a countryside sepia print. The all-over sequined dress is justified at £295, but leather trousers for the same price seem too high. The waxed trench coat and belted wool coats, also at the same price, are much better value for money.
