Primark is to expand its total collection available on Asos to 140 pieces as part of the trial it launched last week.
This has since increased to 70 pieces and will continue to 140, chief executive Nick Robertson told Drapers.
Robertson would not disclose how long the trial would last, saying: “The trial will be for a limited period only and then we will both take stock and learn from it.”
Today Asos announced that sales rose 43% in the third quarter as international sales helped fuel growth.
In the three months to May 31 total group revenues grew to £197m with the etailer now boasting 6.5 million active customers - 38% more than this time last year.
Total retail sales rose 45% to £194m compared to the same period last year, with UK sales delivering a 39% rise to £64m. International sales reached £129m, thanks to a 48% rise. Sales in the US rose 59% while those in the EU grew 56%.
Robertson said the sales acceleration in the UK had been “particularly pleasing” and added that since launching a Russian site last month Asos had seen a “step-change” in sales.
