Bomb found near Net-a-Porter’s distribution centre

Net-a-Porter’s main distribution centre was evacuated this afternoon after workmen discovered an unexploded bomb.

According to local reports excavation workers discovered an unexploded Second World War bomb in Charlton. The bomb was uncovered during building work being carried out near a business park, where the distribution centre is situated.

The entire building was evacuated and a source close to the situation told Drapers police were on the premises for more than an hour.

A controlled explosion is expected to take place later on today.

Net-A-Porter declined to comment.
