Clothes Show launches graduate competition

Clothes Show Live has announced a competition to find ten new graduate designers to sell their collections in the Graduate ASOS Marketplace at this year’s event.

The opportunity is open to graduate designers who finished their courses between May 2009 and September 2010. If successful, they will be chosen to sell their collections in the Graduate Asos marketplace at the Vision Village area of the show.

The five day event, which will take place at the NEC in Birmingham from December 7 to 11, comprises catwalk shows and shopping, showcasing a range of brands from high street labels to independent designers. Maryam Hamizadeh, show producer for Clothes Show Live called the competition “an amazing chance for any young designers looking for a way to raise their profile”.

The winners will also be able to retail their products online through their own boutique in the ASOS marketplace from January.

Eligible graduates looking to enter the competition need to fill in an entry form, including five images of the collection they would like to sell at the event. Deadline for entries is October 1.
