Drapers and Retail Week PayPal Etail Awards: the winners

Topshop and House of Fraser were the big winners last night at the 2014 Drapers and Retail Week PayPal Etail Awards, each taking home two awards.

Winning Best Use of Innovation for its online activity – including a 3D virtual-reality experience – during London Fashion Week, Topshop also took home the International Etailing Award.

Following the launch of its new site in February this year, House of Fraser won the award for Best Redesign/Relaunch as well as scooping the prize for Best Multichannel Retailer (Over £10m).

Best Pure-Play Etailer went to Very, while Amazon took home the Consumer Choice Award for the second year running. In a new category this year, Shopstyle won the award for Best Affiliate Site, and Best Use of Mobile went to Mothercare.

In the smaller business categories (under £10m) Best Multichannel Retailer went to maternity retailer Séraphine and Best Pure-Play to Country Attire.

The awards took place last night (July 2) at The Grange St Pauls Hotel in the City of London.

Eric Musgrave, Drapers editorial director and chairman of the judging panel, said:“It is very satisfying to see strong performers like Topshop and House of Fraser picking up a couple of awards, reflecting a year of consistent performance.

“Online specialists like Very, Shopstyle and Mothercare beat off a lot of keen competition. It was pleasing, too, to see less obvious names Séraphine and Country Attire among the winners. And well done to Amazon, the consumer’s favourite.”
