E-Trader receives £2m investment

The owner of online fashion site Koodos, E-Trader, has received a £2m investment from existing backer MMC Ventures to support the growth of the online business.

The group, whose founders include ex Net-a-porter finance director Murray Salmon and Jaeger owner Harold Tillman, also owns overstock site stockshifters.com.

E-Trader chief executive Harvey Sinclair said: “Our success to date has put us in a commanding position. With the now strengthened management team and additional funding, we are in great shape to fully exploit the market opportunity and accelerate our growth strategy.”

E-Trader has also hired a former lastminute.com director John Morris as its chief operating officer.

The business bought Koodos in October last year.
