Online auction company eBay is rolling out its fashion outlet concept to the US.
According to reports today, eBay Fashion Outlet will launch across the US from late September.
eBay Fashion Outlet first launched in the UK and Germany last year to cater for the growing outlet retail market. In the US it will partner with department store group Neiman Marcus, premium denim brand William Rast, shapewear brand Spanx, and suiting brand Brooks Brothers, among others.
According to reports, eBay Fashion Outlet will be a 24-hour operation and will sell womenswear, menswear, accessories and footwear at up to 60% off original retail prices. It will be aimed at 25-44 year olds. It will also feature fashion advice from eBay’s creative director Andrea Linett.
eBay’s clothing arm currently gets 4.8 million visitors a month. £5.9 million worth of fashion was also sold on the site last year.
