EBay has hired Amanda Metcalfe, marketing director of luxury private sales etailer Cocosa, to bolster its fashion team.
Metcalfe started as director of fashion inventory and assortment at the marketplace on Monday.
Metcalfe began her career at Selfridges in the mid 1990s, working on its brand relaunch. She has also held roles at Laura Ashley, Debenhams and at online retailer Koodos, which was set up by eBay’s general manager for fashion Miriam Lahage.
Lahage said: “She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, dynamism and experience and is extremely well positioned to drive greater customer engagement and innovation into what is already our fastest growing category.
“Amanda’s appointment further strengthens our existing team of fashion retail experts and I look forward to working with her as we continue to re-shape the fashion experience on eBay.”
