Premium womenswear brand Escada is to launch an ecommerce offering next year.
Escada has previously only sold online via other retailers but will launch its own site in 2013.
The German label will sell both its Escada and Escada Sport clothing and accessories ranges online.
Escada said the online shop will be “sophisticated and modern” and will be available for use on tablets as well as regular PCs.
The online store will initially launch in Germany and Austria in spring 2013 and further European countries will be added at the end of the year.
To facilitate the ecommerce business Escada has formed Escada Online GmbH with director of marketing, communications and licenses Alexandra Valtin and director of ecommerce Tonio Frühauf operating as directors of the business.
