Fashionair website closes down

Fashionair, the fashion entertainment website launched last year by pop svengali Simon Fuller and former Net-a-Porter buyer Sojin Lee has closed down following a strategic review by parent company 19 Entertainment.

According to reports staff of the website have been made redundant after 19 Entertainment’s parent company CKx said it was scaling back its London operations and would not be funding Fashionair.

A spokesman for the company told The Times newspaper: “Fashionair is to cease production of new content and scale down its London operation with immediate effect.”

The newspaper added that Lee was thought to be seeking new backers for the venture.

Fuller left 19 Entertainment earlier this year. He sold the business to CKx in 2005 but retained a role at the firm.
