Hackett hires ecommerce director

Men’s lifestyle brand Hackett has hired Kristine Kirby in the newly created role of ecommerce director.

Kirby, who has most recently been in a number of consultancy roles, was previously the UK managing director of private sales site Zulily but left in November 2012.

Kirby said of the move to Hackett: “I am really excited to work on such a fantastic luxury brand with a great heritage. It’s a fantastic opportunity and energy in the team is great.”

Hackett currently has a small ecommerce team and Kirby hinted that this could grow as the online proposition does.

She said: “Hackett has had many years of successful growth and are now expanding internationally. Currently the web does not represent the brand as well as the stores do and I am looking forward to joining the business to build a good foundation to take the website further and into international markets.”

Prior to joining Zulily, Kirby was ecommerce and multichannel director at Monsoon Accessorize, leaving in June 2011 after a year at the retailer. Kirby has previously held positions at lifetstyle retailer Fat Face and women’s young fashion brand Lipsy.
