American casualwear brand J Crew will be available in the UK for the first time via luxury etailer Net-a-Porter.
J Crew, which is currently available only in stores in North America and is also shipped to Japan, has agreed a partnership with Net-a-Porter to sell J Crew’s women’s collection globally in 170 countries from May.
It is the first time that J Crew has been sold at wholesale.
From May, an edited selection of women’s clothing, shoes and accessories will be available via Net-a-Porter to customers in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania for the first time.
Over 90 designs from the spring 10 collection will be sold, including evening and day dresses, chinos, mini-skirts, jumpsuits, cashmere sets, boyfriend shorts, cotton tees, jackets, desert boots and statement jewellery.
Net-a-Porter founder and chairmanNatalie Massenet said: ” With our global distribution we are an ideal partner for J.Crew. It’s a symbiotic relationship but ultimately its our customers who will benefit - we can provide ours with something exclusive and J.Crew can offer its fans abroad access to products that they haven’t had previously.”
