Republic launches improved website

Republic, the branded young fashion chain, has relaunched its website to give it a fresher, less cluttered look in time for the arrival of its autumn 10 ranges. has also been equipped with improved search and navigation tools and now includes style tips and advice about trends. A more streamlined checkout process was introduced earlier this year.

The overhaul follows the sale in June of the 105-store chain to private equity house TPG for a reported £300m. Republic’s co-founders, Tim Whitworth and Carl Brewins, retained more than 40% of the business and its management team have remained in place.

TPG plans to roll out more stores for the chain, which sells brands such as Diesel, Miss Sixty and G-Star.
