Sales at Asos soared 43% in the third quarter as international sales helped fuel growth.
In the three months to May 31 total group revenues grew 43% to £197m with the etailer now boasting 6.5 million active customers - 38% more than this time last year.
Total retail sales rose 45% to £194m compared to the same period last year, with UK sales delivering a 39% rise to £64m. International sales reached £129m, thanks to a 48% rise. Sales in the US rose 59% while those in the EU grew 56%.
Chief executive Nick Robertson said: “We continue to see stronger growth in those countries where we have dedicated websites and in-country teams, notably in the US, France, Germany and Australia. Our dedicated Russian website launched on 1 May 2013.”
He added: “Retail gross margin grew by 10bps over the quarter as we annualised last year’s price investments. We anticipate a further increase in the fourth quarter which should result in a small improvement for the year as a whole.”
Robertson said he remained positive regarding the outlook for the year to August 31 and expects full year results to be in line with expectations.
