Designer etailer Shopbop.com is to launch a menswear site next year.
The website, which will be separate from Shopbop’s womenswear-only website, will launch in the second half of 2013. A name for the website is yet to be confirmed.
The site will serve as a destination to educate men on fashion and style as well as selling a range of contemporary and denim brands. Users will be able to shop by outfit, category, brand, fit or style.
Personalised features will be prominent and product recommendations will be developed for each customer by integrating a customers’ browsing history with items chosen by the site’s fashion team. Users can also be sent emails when items they want appear on the site and also when stock levels become low.
In September Shopbop overhauled its website marking the beginning of an interactive launch of new features that will be unveiled throughout the autumn 12 season.
