Fashion at a discount - Faith takes a step closer to the cheaper end of the market

Product 6½

The fashion looks are all here but are still missing the exclusive Faith handwriting of old. Still, no matter as this is a store that seems to be moving more in the direction of trends at a price. There are over-the-knee Belstaff-inspired boots with buckle and tassel details and a studded story that includes T-bar platforms. There are also some quirky flat ankle boots with crown motifs or double ruffles.

Experience 4

This is a totally open-fronted unit with limited window space for Faith to present a strong fashion message. A “must-have” wall goes some way to addressing this but does not fully compensate. The storefit also feels outdated, with yellow wood flooring and a basic white box design.

A cluster of Sale racks at the back of the store also cheapens the overall vibe. On the plus side, staff are friendly and welcoming.

Value 5

A pair of over-the-knee boots is reduced from £120 to £90 - a much more reasonable price for this brand and environment but another pair is still on sale for £140, when Topshop is selling at £100 - this just doesn’t cut it. Studded biker boots are £85, which comes across as steep against the Barratts offer and pumps with jewels on the vamp at £40 also feel overpriced, not so much because of the design but more because of presentation and the overall feel of the Faith brand.
