Clarks

Clarks

Pros This Clarks store is light, bright and airy and has the retailer’s latest shopfit featuring lilac and lime sofas, vases of flowers and chunky wooden tables. The double windows have pyramid displays full of key styles for spring, with men’s and kids’ on one side and women’s on the other. The shop has air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and staff members have iPads to help shoppers select products or order styles unavailable in store. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clarks decided to up its fashion credentials on women’s two seasons ago and this is still apparent. The popular cut-out brogues in pastel shades are back (£70), as are metallic details on gladiator-style leather sandals (£45) and wedges (£40). The men’s collection has a wide range, with everything from walking boots to loafers. Leather brogues are competitively priced at £90, £10 cheaper than a similar pair at Dune. Clarks also stocks half sizes.

Cons While the collection is stylish, it lacks some of the edgier women’s styles that were carried last spring.
