Hit or Miss: Dune 7/10

Ground floor, unit 25

Dune

Pros The product certainly has a spring in its step at Dune, with lots of bright colours enticing shoppers to open their wallets. Known for its dressier women’s styles, Dune doesn’t disappoint with heavily decorated strappy stilettos for £69, more expensive than River Island’s £50 version but with far more embellishment. Leather tassel loafers also come in at £69, similar in price to Office’s versions at £68 but better quality. There are lots of matching handbags and clutches to complement the shoes and these are merchandised well in store. The men’s section is located at the front left-hand side of the store meaning male shoppers do not have to walk through all the women’s product to find what they need. Staff  are friendly and helpful.

Cons There are no prices in the window. The store is long and narrow, so quite difficult to get around, and there is also a shortage of seating. This store has not been revamped with Dune’s new catwalk shopfit.
