Ground floor, unit 1102
Pros This is much bigger than other branches of Foot Locker and easy to navigate. Not surprisingly, trainers dominate the shelves, which divide the store with women’s styles on the right and men’s on the left. The shop is tidy and, although staff are busy, they are friendly and attentive. There is plenty of seating for shoppers to try on product. Foot Locker displays exclusive product from brands such as Nike and Adidas with individual tags placed on each of the shoes – this is great as it alerts customers clearly to the retailer’s unique selling point over rivals such as Footasylum. The exclusives include women’s Nike Air Max 90 for £94.99, men’s Nike Jordan Future Low for £104.99 and women’s Adidas ZX Flux NPS 2.0 for £59.99.
Cons There is far more men’s product than women’s in this store. This, combined with the somewhat masculine interior, which felt quite cold and sporty much like a locker room, may put off female shoppers.
