Hit or miss: French Connection - 9/10

  • 249-251 Regent Street

FRENCH CONNECTION AW14

Pros

The range of product is strong, with prices more in line with the likes of Zara and Warehouse than other premium chains. Coats, at around £200, vary from a navy and black biker style to a fluffy orange and blue tartan tailored Crombie style - both of which are unlike anything elsewhere. Other unique pieces, such as a thick white knitted jumper with furry sleeves, come in at about £85. Dresses, at around £85, look great. There are more options than in previous seasons, including sequined, printed and textured styles, with long or short sleeves. With prices starting at £27 for silky tops, the price structure offers something for everyone. The store is bright and modern and the service is easily as good as in other premium shops.

Cons

The changing rooms are a little cramped. Some of the sizing could have been broader, as only smaller sizes tend to be on display.
