Hit or Miss: New Look 9/10

First floor, unit 52

New Look

Pros Well known for its spacious and extensive footwear areas, New Look does not disappoint. Half of the first floor is dedicated to a shoe shopper’s heaven. The large, bright area is easy to navigate as there is ample room between displays and similar styles are grouped together. New Look has one of the largest women’s shoe collections of the multiples visited, ranging in price from £7 for ballerina pumps to £65 for leather ankle boots from its premium collection. Strappy sandals are good value at £35, cheaper than a pair of similar quality from Topshop at £46. Staff are helpful and, unlike at other multiples, there is someone in the footwear area to suggest other styles shoppers might like. There are lots of comfortable sofas to try on product.

Cons The men’s footwear area is small, and although it has key styles for the season, including boat shoes and canvas slip-on loafers, there is not much choice.
