Westfield London, unit A, ground and first floor
The large Next store is well organised and merchandised, with the front sections dominated by more trend-led lines, which include florals and pastels, as well as a nautical theme. Next’s denim offering feels bigger than in past seasons, with many jeans priced at £30. While the quality is not quite as good as at Topshop, this is reflected in the cheaper price. There are also some more directional denim pieces, such as a pair of dungarees (£38). Value for money is very good here - a fully lined polyester dress is much better quality than similar styles seen in Wallis and, at £40, is £10 cheaper. Next also offers a great selection
of well priced workwear, including a selection of viscose blazers (£40) and a tailored viscose dress (£35). In addition to displaying sizes six to 20 on the rails, there are also large sections dedicated to petite and tall styles.
Although there are plenty of staff on the shop floor, nobody greets me. It is disappointing that the fitting rooms are unattended, and that there is stock and rubbish on the floor in several cubicles.
