Westfield London, ground floor, unit 32
Ted Baker has one of the best window displays at Westfield, featuring an inventive under-the-sea theme with male and female mannequins wearing scuba masks. Inside, many pieces feature on-trend bold floral prints, and there is a big selection of pastel pieces that feel fresh for spring.
Customer service is sadly lacking here, with staff seemingly disinterested in customers. One assistant remains behind the till, even though there is no one to serve, and two others stand outside the fitting rooms chatting about their weekends; everything they say can be heard by customers. The fitting rooms initially look plush but are let down by ripped wallpaper in several places. While there is little to describe as premium in terms of the shopping experience, the same cannot be said for the prices. A polyester minidress for £139 and an acetate blazer for £219 seem seriously steep. Additionally, much of the product feels very young - more suited to teenagers than to women who could afford it.
