2013 looks set to be an exciting year for the London women’s denim indie, with founder and owner Donna Ida Thornton preparing to take the wholesale market by storm with the launch of her debut own label, IDA.

Launched in store before Christmas, wholesale customers for spring 13 include womenswear retailer Anthropologie, and independents Okeefe in Esher and Bottega in Tarporley.

Ida Thornton says the online business experienced “crazy” year-on-year growth of more than 400% at Christmas following a re-design last year, and she reveals plans to be mobile-optimised this year.

The Chelsea boutique is also set to receive a £120,000 refit. The store plans to close for five days at the end of March for the refurbishment.
