Known as the place to shop for premium fashion labels, it’s been a busy year for luxury indie Flannels.

The men’s and women’s designer indie celebrated its 35th anniversary last year and marked the date with a high-profile charity event in November at its Spinningfields store.

It featured an exhibition of exclusive samples from brands such as Matthew Williamson, McQ by Alexander McQueen and Sunspel. This was just one of many in-store events hosted during the year, and Flannels took part in the inaugural Manchester Fashion Week once again in April.

For owner and founder Neil Prosser the appeal of Flannels is clear. “I think it’s due to what we buy, how we present it, and how we deliver to our final customer,” he says.
