Brands include Baracuta, Burlington, Closet, Edwin, Firetrap, Forever Unique, Lipsy, Motel, Nudie Jeans

Founded in 2008, young fashion retailer Chocolate Clothing has become one of Northern Ireland’s most popular indies.

Despite tough trading conditions, the Derry store enjoyed its best year to date in 2011, with sales up 40% and a rise in profits.

During the past year, it relaunched its website, scooped local awards and updated its brand mix with the likes of Pretty Green and Miss Sixty.

There appears to be no stopping the Conaghan brothers, who jointly own the store. “We have built up a very strong reputation in such a short space of time, and we do not plan to slow down anytime soon,” says David Conaghan.
