British heritage brand Aertex is collaborating with premium menswear indie John Simons on an archive-inspired menswear collection for spring 12.
The 24-piece range, Aertex by John Simons, will retail at between £60 and £70 for a shirt to £140 for outerwear. Shirts will be 1960s-inspired in plaids and with prints, while high-waisted peg-leg trousers and rainproof outerwear will also feature. Some fabrics replicated from original Aertex materials will be used.
The collection will be available at wholesale to selected indies in the UK, US and Japan, as well as through John Simons’ Chiltern Street store in London’s Marylebone. It will launch at trade show Bread & Butter Berlin on July 6-8.
Aertex managing director Ellis Franks said: “It’s a major step for us to be associated with such an iconic retailer.”
John Simons is renowned for its preppy aesthetic. It stocks brands such as Brooks Brothers, Gloverall and Ralph Lauren.
