London agent Motiv will represent two newly launched brands in the UK and Republic of Ireland for spring 12 – diffusion label Pierre Balmain and women’s denim range Naomi Campbell for Fiorucci.
Pierre Balmain, named after the designer who founded French luxury label Balmain and died in 1982, is the first diffusion label from Balmain, and Motiv owner Firas Kamourieh described the men’s and women’s range’s styling as “more commercial” than the mainline.
Pierre Balmain will sit alongside brands such as Alexander Wang and 3.1 Phillip Lim. Target stockists include major department stores and high-profile indies. Retail prices for the collection, which includes menswear, womenswear, footwear and accessories, will range from £75 for tops to £800 for jackets.
Capsule collection Naomi Campbell for Fiorucci, a collaboration between the supermodel and the Italian womenswear label, will include jeans and T-shirts printed with cover images from Campbell’s cover shoots for i-D magazine.
Motiv will target key denim stockists including department stores and indies for Naomi Campbell for Fiorucci. Retail prices will range from £49.50 to £135 and it will sit alongside labels like Desigual and Fornarina.
Kamourieh is the son of the late fashion agent Salim Kamourieh, who owned the well-renowned Gorland agency.
